Developments happen in waves, as is well known. The first stage of the Balance Resort Stegersbach, which was completed in 2005 and is based on the existing topography of a gently curving ice-age sand dune, can also be seen as an architectural wave.

Plenty of light is provided by the two glass panoramic elevators. They connect all six levels and ensure easy navigation through the building. In addition, bridges span the airspace on two levels. On the entrance level, the reception area merges seamlessly into the bar and ends in a slightly separated cigar lounge, which boasts the special feature of a four-and-a-half-meter humidor. A spacious garden terrace extends in front of the entrance area. A small library is available for fireside chats. One level below, you can reach the restaurant from the elevator either via one of the bridges or through the intimate vinotheque.

Finally, the seminar area is located on the lowest level, whereby the floor area of the atrium can be used both as a break room and as a stage for presentations. The three interconnectable seminar rooms have direct access to the outdoors as well as to the outdoor meeting areas enclosed by hedges. The construction of the Balance Resort Stegersbach emerged from an invited architectural competition in autumn 2002. The ground-breaking ceremony took place in summer 2003, the opening in March 2005. Developed - from the architecture to the structural engineering to the interior - implementation planning: architects' office arch.eu.
